I'm still having problems with me three point raising and not being able to lower it without wiggling the remote hyd. lever. Here is my past post any help would be great.I have a JD 2030 with 3100 hours on it and am having some problems the the three point. Recently while pushing snow with a 8' blade the tree point would jump up into the highest position and stay locked there with no response when I moved the control level up and down. After moving the hydraulic remote lever back and forth with the three point control arm in the highest position and then lowering the lever i could get it to come down again untill it happened again. It will also work if you turn the tractor off for a couple of seconds and then restart. Sometimes there does seem to be a hissing sound coming from the rockshaft housing and the pump does make allot of clatter when this happens. Power steering and brakes are fine. Could this be orings in the rockshaft cylinder? Checked inside with a flashlight looks like oil leaking near right front. Tried adjusting draft control with no help. I did pull out the flow control valve located on the right side of the rockshaft housing. When looking at the valve it had a very light scratch on it. Could this be a problem? Also sometimes the rockshaft settles with the tractor off and sometimes it doesn't when it does settle it only takes 15 to 20 minutes to do so. Any help would be great.

Jeff, I belive you have to pull off the rockshaft and look around. I had a spring break on my 1020 that attached to the load control arm that caused about the same problems. If you look in a manual you will see that there is a a few springs and cam's, any one of these can cause rockshaft problems. I don't think that you flow control is the problem. And I belive that 15 to 20 min. is to spec. Hope this helps John

Thanks for the info I will try readjusting the neutral screw and if that doesn't work it's time to take off the rockshaft housing. But is it normal to see hyd. fluid squirting out near the rockshaft cylinder while looking through the fill hole? I stopped at John Deere today and ordered a o-ring kit for about $20, I figured it can't hurt since I will have it tore apart anyway. Thanks
