I know some of the basics of the clutch assy. but I show no markings of the cast clutch drive disk on the crankshaft. I'm replacing the drive disk because of to much wear on the spine. so does the weight need to counter the through of the crankshaft of the engine? I thought that maybe I would time the clutch disk weight oppisite the reach of the engine crank. any help would be great! also the old one has no markings!

I had a 41 B many years ago and if I remember right there was one spline on the crank that was shorter than the others. The driving disk had a pin in it so it had to go on the short spline. It could'nt be put on wrong. Is my memory wrong?

I own an "A" so this may be incorrect, but, with an "A", you place the counterweight on the clutch 180 degrees opposed to the crank offset bearing surface for the right side piston. On an "A", there is a counterweight on the flywheel. It's also 180 degrees from the counterweight on the clutch disk when the engine is put back together.
