I see several of the same models of tractor with descriptive variations like "row crop" or "standard" or "veg" etc. How can I know what I have. It was sold as a John Deere 60 Veg. What is "original" with this "Veg." tractor? Is an "original" tractor more valuable? I plan to work this tractor for now but may eventually restore it. Besides getting a manual can I trace the serial number for any history. The serial number is 6001191. Thanx

Does this tractor by any chance have a wide front end, sit with about 32"+ ground clearance, have outboard final drives rather than a straight rear axle? Such tractors are called "high crops" and due to their relatively low production numbers are really kind of valuable.

No 32"+ clearance. It is what has been described by some as a 60 Veg. It's wide front but not real wide. Same with the rear axle. Though it has more rear shaft to widen if needed to. Can the serial number be used to trace it to the point of production? Like how many owners, who they were, etc.?
