I am in need of information. I have the above mentioned plow and need complete coulter assemblies for it along with a cylinder. I intend to pull it will my 41 JD B with the Baker add on multi-valve. I have read the archives and someone mentioned that the B's should use a 2 1/2 inch bore cylinder. What length of cylinder in the closed postion along with what stroke should I use. Also I would like to know if anyone else in the world has a B with the Baker add on. And where to find information about it. Thanks Joe

Joe,
Frank has it right, a 2 1/2 bore with an 8" stroke is what I was told to get for my 44H, although I will be pulling it with a Cyclone B with power trol, which I believe is more typical for that vintage plow. I think your tractor would typically be pulling a number 52 trip plow, but I am sure it will work the 44H just fine.
I saw a kit on sale someplace online for one of those knee-breaker set ups that will disengage the clutch if you hit a rock. The cost was $75 I think, a little too salty for me, especially if I am out of work with a broken kneecap. It would be nice to have it for show though, I think those kits are hard to find. Have fun! Gary

Joe:

Don't know about the 2 1/2" bore, but I'm pretty sure I remember that the stroke was 8".

and 88" hoses.
