Joe,

Just a price comparison for you. I had my 1950 "B" generator rebuilt about two weeks ago. Complete rebuild and installed a new regulator on it for $132.00 parts and labor.

Hope this helps.

Dick

Joe, That price sounds wayyyyy high to me. Have you checked with Kenneth Classic Generator Repair??? If you look here on YT Mag or Rummys Page (www.johnnypopper.com) at the links for repair and vendors, maybe you can find him. Sounds like your gonna need a new voltage regulator also. If your not a purist, many convert over to an alternator you know. If it were mine, I would get another used generator and/or matchign generator parts (like the armature you need) at a tractor wrecking yard and build up one from parts and restore and paint it like new for less the any $200.
