I know enough to stagger the rings on the piston prior to instalation but does it matter which way the Oil ring gap is positioned? Should I piont it up or down ?
Thanks again

Marty, seeing as the oil tends to run to the bottom of the cylinders I like to keep the oil ring gap towards the top of the piston. Probably doesn't make a tremendous difference but that is one less little line of oil left on the bottom of the cylinder.
