When I got my "D" it had an angle iron section that went from fender to fender across the steering shaft on the front of the fenders. It was identical to the one that goes on the rear edge of the fenders at the platform level. I thought that it was a farmer add on, for stability ,and I was not going to put it back during restoration. Then today I was looking at tractor photo's on this site and I see a "D" with the same connecting angle iron on the front of the fenders. I have never seen this angle iron on any other photo. Should I put it back when she goes back together? I would show you the pic but I don't know how to post it. It is in the Photo section of YT.. It was posted by Mark.
Thanks
Marty Z

Marty the only thing I can find is a D936R, it is a cross brace for citrus grove fenders. It goes between the fender brace's (D1003R/D1237R) fender to trans case. Sorry I'm not anymore help.

Tha angle iron across the front of the fenders is not original. most likely put there to keep the fenders from shaking excessively. My 29 and 38 do not have any angle iron on them. Good luck Mark..
