I finally got down to removing the powersteering motor from my 2010 to repair that confounded oil leak. My I & T manual did OK until it said to take a pry bar and pry the motor out of the front assembly. They DID NOT take into account about 40 years of rust, dust, and crud. After 2 days and a whole can of KROIL, (That's good stuff) it finally gave it up and came out. The rest of the dismantle was easy. When I removed the lower spindle, there was a slight groove worn in it where the seals had rubbed. Will this cause the new seals to fail, or will there be enough flex in them to fill the groove? It's not pitted or galled, just I can tell that something has been there.
