Can someone help me? I am only familiar with John Deere equipment, not the tractors. Can you tell me what year JD went with the current cab format and what model would be around 100 hp.

Thank you.
Tom

JOHN DEERE WENT TO THE SOUND GARD CAB AROUND 1974 WITH THE 30 SERIES TRACTORS. AS FAR AS 100 HP GOES, A 4230 IS ROUGHLY 110 HORSEPOWER. A 4030 MIGHT BE TOO SMALL FOR WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. IT (I THINK) IS ONLY 80-85 HP. I HOPE THIS IS WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR.

JD went from the 55 series to the current series
in 1992 the models are 7200/7210 92 PTO HP,
7400/7410 100 PTO HP. They also make a 6605 95 PTO
HP, and 7405 105 PTO hp

You are wrong DAVE, JD went to the 55 series THEN the 60 series(with exhaust beside the cab, THEN it went to the 8000 series. Havent you ever heard of a 60 series JD before?(weird) The four wheel drives even went to 70 series before they switched to the 9000 series style.

So I forgot the 60 series. They only made them a
few years before going to the 8000 series.
Lets see. 10,20,30,40,50,55,60,8000,8010,8020 series for 155 HP up. 10,20,30,40,50,55,7000,
7010 for 92-150 hp, 10,20,30,40,50,55,6000,6010,
6020 for 65-95 hp, 10,20,30,40,50,55,5000,5010,
5020 for 45-75 hp, 50,55,70,4000,4010 series for
16-42 hp compacts. HP are for the current tractors. Anyway the person who asked is probably
looking for a 7410. which is the closest to a 100
hp new JD you can get. And when the 7000 series
came out there was only the 7600,7700,7800 in 1992
The 7200, 7400 did'nt come out until 1994/95 when
the Mannheim Germany factory quit making the 3055/
3255 models.

OPPS I forgot the articulated tractors.
10,WA14,WA17,20,30,40,50,60,70,9000,9010,9020
series. I was mistaken when I got home this evening. I checked my JOHN DEERE TRACTORS WORLD
WIDE by Don Macmillan. The 7200/7400 came out in
1993 not 1994/95

JD never replaced the 4055, 4255, and 4455 with the 60 series only the larger tractors became 60's. The "smaller three" went strait to the 7000 series.
