It seems like we have old tractors coming from everywhere these days for sale but I don't see very many collectors of farm equipment. Is this because there is little interest in the equipment or because of the scarcity of the equipment?
I recently bought an IH six disc one-way, three bottom JD trip moldboard on rubber, a Conway seeder/spreader, and a horse drawn fresno; the kind with the long lever behind that was used by the operator for depth control and dumping. All of the equipment is in good condition, just sitting in the pasture for the last fifty years or more. I was thrilled to get all this equipment but now wondering where it will be kept, I am beginning to wonder if I was smart or not.

Looking for information on a John Deere Fresno.
One of the three levers is there.. What do the other two that are suppose to be there do.

THERE ARE ALOT OF GUYS TINKERING WITH SOMETHING TO PULL BEHIND THEIR TRACTORS. FOR SOME GUYS IT DOES GET HARD TO STORE ALL THE EQUIPMENT INSIDE. MYSELF, I HAVE A HARD TIME STORING THREE OLD JD COMBINES; A 45 ROUND BACK, A 45 SQUARE BACK AND A 55EB. ALL RUN GREAT BUT CAN'T REALLY DO VERY MUCH ON THE FARM WITH THEM. DID 10 ACRES OF CORN LAST FALL IN A DAY WITH THE 45 ON A TWO ROW. HAD A BLAST. GOT ALL THE NEIGHBOURS SCRATCHING THEIR HEADS WONDERING IF I'D EVER GET TIRED AND GET THE 9500 OUT TO FINISH. WELL I PUT THE COMBINE AWAY AT 10 PM. IT WAS WORTH IT.
