Those pictures are proof that the work you're doing is GREAT!! You're staying with it and moving along quickly. I just have one question. When do you have time to do all this, retired?

No, not retired. Just nose to the grindstone. Put a TV in the garage and go at it.

I'm a computer systems/applications consultant by trade, and my current project is close by, so I have more time to dedicate to the tractor project.

Starting in June, I'll fly to Indianapolis each week, so things will slow down. That's why I'm pushing to get the major stuff done before I hit the road again.

Hey Joe !

Well, I've been pretty busy doing the finish painting work. I'll attach a few pictures of the tractor, hood, and nosecone. I'm hoping I'll have it all re-assembled this weekend.

I still need to get two good front rims. They don't match, and the correct one has some nasty cracks, which is what the other one got replaced for.
I also need to get two front headlamp assemblies, and order the decals. Don't know why I waited for those, but that's the way it goes.

Here's a side shot of the last color coat. Sorry about the lighting, but the dsun was getting low.

That's what I call an UNSTYLED tractor! What model is it?

It's a 70 Diesel.

It should look more "styled" after the weekend.

The nosecone had some nasty dents, and a very bad wrinkle. It took me a while to develop the right touch for bumping out the dents.

Of course the grills were shot. New ones fit great, you just need six arms to install them.

I'm pretty pleased with the finished product.

Now if you want to see the hood correctly, you'll have to turn your monitor on it's side.

The hood had a very bad wrinkle and three big dents in the top crease. Getting the dings out of that crease was a bear for me.

Hope to have some after assembly pictures sometime this weekend.

Maybe christening pictures in a week or two.
