I have a "B" I just pruchased that the owner said the serial no is 159708. It has two fuel tanks, one for gas and the other for kerosene/ect. I took the carb off to inspect and rebuild and I am confused. On the bottom is stamped DLTX 7. In looking in section 110 of my service manual it says s/n 96000 - 201000 use DLTX 34, and above 201000 use DLTX 73 for "ALL FUEL" (which is what I thought I have) and DLTX 67 for gas. My confusion/questions are is there a DLTX 7 carb, or is this really a 73 (is that the way they stamped them)? Were the tractors with serial numbers 96000 - 201000 called "all fuel"? I am taking his word on the serial number as the plate is not legible. Is there any other way to determine if it is pre 201000 or post 201000. It is a hand start if that helps. Sorry for the long winded post, but I am trying to learn from info on the boards rather than trial and error. I read these EVERY DAY! Thanks for any help.
Jimm

You should have a DLTX34.

Jim M. Look at your carb bowl again I think it will be DLT, not DLTX. I hope this helps Earl

Jim, this is a picture of a "D" carb but the position is about the same. ~As Ron said, you are probably looking at the bowl number.....

The DLTX number will be cast or stamped opposite the choke lever. The number you are looking at is the casting number for the bowl.
