I quess you all know about me and my problem by now but this is very very agrivating not being able to plow, blade, brush hog, esc. my problem is it lifts slower than usual but as soon as you put your foot on the lift arms, it stops, acts like it has no power, at governed full throttle, it will lift me, but not like it should. but once it goes up, its strong as a bolder. it doesnt wine when you stop it. it is full of oil, i raised it up and down about 500 hundred times thinking it just needed to bleed out the air, but i quess not. i have the correct dummy plugs in it and didnt take anything apart in it, just put it back on like when i took it off, it worked when i took it off. any help would be sooo helpful. thanks soo much.

I don't have an answer for you, I just wanted to correct a common misconception I have seen on this board. A hydraulic pump does not create pressure, it only creates flow. The pressure is achieved by the various restrictions to oil flow in the system, such as pressure-regulating valves, back pressure in the lines, load imposed by actuating cylinders, etc. If you're sure your pump is in good shape and is actually creating flow, you have to be losing that flow somewhere if you're hydraulic system won't work. It could be an internal leak, blown piston seal or whatever else you can think of that oil flows to or through.

I bet the leather cup seal is blown out...as you try to lift oil is by passing the cup. There is a replacement piston and neophreme seal available or upgrade on some models.

It has to be in the pump . When the keys sheared something caused it . Try putting a heavier oil in it . Check the pump for excess wear . www.jd40.com has a page on power pumps

I'm with Tractor boy? The problem is not in valving, its in pressure output of pump. Or oil flow to & from pump. Woodruff key missing? If this system worked befor & doesn't now its something simple. When you find it, don't hit yourself too hard!
