I am looking for a company or individual that makes a detailed model of a styled "G" in 1/16 scale I've been waiting for a Precision Classics version, but I don't know if they will ever produce one or not. I have the Ertl styled "G" that is available now, but am looking for something with much more detail. Any info is appreciated.

Hello, I custom build toy tractors if this would be any help. I take the Ertl edition and put better rims, tires, decals, hitches (3 point if prefered), and any other specifics. I can make it look like yours if you send me a picture of yours. I could do it for way less than $500. It just depends on what you want on it. Thank you, Tony
I will be honest with you I get my parts from www.dakotahtoys.com and they have what it takes to really customize a tractor. I custom make the decals though.

Thanks for the info, but at $500 to $800, I'd better hold out and keep waiting for a Precision Classics version. That cash would go a long way on my full-scale model "G" that I only gave $650 for, lol. I would be interested in seeing a picture of the one you're not happy with, if you can post it or email me one - maybe it's a little more in my price range.

It would be nice if a precision model was produced. Years ago I purchased what was known as the Frehiet "G" from the man himself. It was a venture he didn't finish. He was to build 500 of them, and SN them. This was in 82, and for its time it is very detailed. From the time I ordered it, I waited roughly 1 1/2 years to hear from him. He wanted to know if I had a preferance of SN, since I was one of the first to order one. He had a 49 "G" that he used for detailed measurements, so I asked if I could use the SN of my 49 "G". Therefore, I have a Frehiet "G" SN G35344. I was once told he ended up only building around 250 of them, as it was a bigger job than he had figured on. Would be glad to show it to you sometime your down this way. It has Rolo-Matic, and removeable fenders. Very nice detail, but the Rolo-Matic is not correct. Have heard reports of very high prices paid for these, but can't confirm. Don

I don't have a picture Jack, but will try to get one taken this weekend and get it developed next week. That'll give me a chance to try out this new scanner!

Hey guys, isn't Gilson Riecke still producing models? Used to see him at toy shows here in the upper midwest... Gee, if he quit then I shoulda bought one of his "A"s... I've got 4 of them at the farm, always meant to... On eBay they sell pretty high.

Ertl is owned by Racing Champions, ticker RACN. The new President is named Peter Henseler. He bought 1700 more shares of the stock at 15.53 this past April. One of the founders and CEO is named Robert Dods and he sold 225,000 shares at 17.25 in April. Racing / Ertl locked up a multi year licensing agreement with JD on July 17 of 2001.

I'd write or fax to the new blood, Henseler, about the G model at:
800 Roosevelt Road
Building C, Suite 320
Glen Ellyn IL 60137
Phone: (630) 790-3507
Fax: (630) 790-9474

The stock is only at 19.50 today, and he wants ideas on how to sell more stuff to make it go up! One lucky guy -- who shall rename nameless -- bought RACN at 9.23 last summer, and is pretty happy with the results this summer, but is eager to see the stock skyrocket when they make bigger / better G models, as the 50th anniversary 60 models don't seem to be moving it.
