The same book covers the 37, 38, 39, and 39N mowers. Try Ebay like Gman said. I got one a couple months ago on Ebay. Watch out however, the first one I found had a opening bid that was way too high and the seller wanted an outrageous price for shipping and "handling". It got no bids. A week later I got one for very cheap plus actual postage cost from a different seller.

Joe I was on ebay the other day and saw a 39N manuel,I use to have a 39N good mower, till my son hung it in to a imovable object and sprung it,and never could keep power take-off shafts in it after that. The 39N power take-off shaft runs in a very undesirable angle anyway at least mine did it might have been sprung when I got it and I sprung it again beyond repair anyway watch ebay the agriculture portion. Later Garland

My Mower works good except that once in a while the pto pops out of gear. The pto shaft is at a bad angle too. what does the N mean in the 39N.

I think the 'N' means narrow. It would be for smaller narrow tread tractors. Like back when they made the No. 8 and 9 mowers, there was a 8W and 9W in the last year. The W mowers were for WIDE tread tractors. The cutter bar was offset about 6 inches farther out so they could be used with the new wider tread tractors coming out.
