I have an opportunity to buy a 145 JD loader with 7ft bucket in extremely good condition for $1850. I want to put it on my 3010 for use around the farm house. Just want to move snow, move a little manure, dig a hole once in a while. Is this a good price, will it fit, and is it big enough for my light duty needs? Any advise is appreciated.

Well, I have decided to stay away from the 145 and look for a 148. Thanks for the help

Well, quoting from OM-W21331 issue B3, the "John Deere 145 Farm Loader has been designed for use with John Deere 1020,1120, 1520, 2020, 2030 and 2120 Tractors. Use of John Deere 1020LU, 1520LU and 2020LU tractors is not recommended."

It does not mention 3010,2510.3020, or 2520 tractors at all. I think you will have a lot of trouble trying to jury rig a 145 Loader for use with a 3010. If you have a 3010 Row Crop Utility it might be easier to fit the loader to it, but a 3010 RCU is a very expensive tractor to dent up with a loader.

I suggest trying to find an actual 48 loader or a 148 loader for your tractor.

Thanks. You may be correct. I have talked with several Deere dealers. One will say "the book" says it is supposed to fit, the next says it won't. It looks like it will fit and the measurements look good but I am still skeptical. I am still hoping someone has tried it. The 148s I have found are $500-$1500 more.

My thoughts would be get it!!! If it didn't work out you could always resell it and make a little on the deal. Thats a pretty cheap price for a Deere loader. Lowest price I have seen on one was $2500.00 and that was a 48. I recently got a 4020 with a 48 loader on it and I'm haveing a ball with it. Dont' know how I ever did without one. Wish the tractor had had dual hyd. and the loader would have been a 148 but I'm not going to complain. I have soemthing I have really needed for some time now. Good luck!

The 145 was made for the utility tractors. They use an altogether different mount than a row crop tractor. Also if you were able to mount it the loader bucket itself probably wouldn´t touch the ground because the row crop tractors are higher and the cylinders won´t retract far enough. Try for a 47-a, 48, or 148 loader with row crop mounts.

Thank you, Sir. I wondered about that. Have you tried this combination? The reason I ask is because a neighbor said he used to have one on a 3020 and said it worked fine. I wondered if he was getting his model numbers confused????? ???
