Hello! My Dad is thinking about getting rid of his 1959 430C (4 Rollers). He has very little idea what its worth. It is in good working condition. Anybody that can help me or send me to a website where I could find that out would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Joel Treat e-mail: JCEtreat@msn.com Phone:(218)729-6979

I paid $3,700 for a 1956, early series 4-roller 420C with non-angling dozer blade, ran good and had good trans and ~50% track with runnable but loose idlers, but since put ~$500 into rewiring and sheet metal, and ~$2,500 into the undercarriage (idlers and rollers) and left steering clutch housing and to add a PTO. Parts availability at the local JD dealer is good, and there are places to get used parts. Check with Lavoy on the crawlers board, too. i forgot his web site, but he has a first class web site.
Just as a guide. Maybe $2,500 to $5000+ for yours, depending on whether it has a dozer blade, kind of dozer blade, 1 or 2 valve hydraulics, PTO, 3-pt, condition of undercarraige, etc.
excuse the long post, hope this helps some, and good luck. these are good little dozers.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any difference between a 420C and a 430C? Also do you or anyone else out there know how many 430C's with only 4 rollers were manufactured. Someone told my Dad that less than 100 hundred were made with only 4. Thanks again! I will forward this info to my Dad. Joel
