never messed with a tractor.built a lot of hot rod cars.what can be done to a b to help out with the horsepower.read some of these storys.what kind of horsepower can i get out of a b with out hurting the tractor?

Running 7 to 1 compression in a Late "B", along with an over-bore of +.125 should get you a VERY Healthy 30 HP...!! ( at the rear wheels )...! Maybe actually a lot more...I can only tell you from farm use... It will do anything a late "A" will do, except I would not expect it to pull a 3-bottom plow, tho.. The Late "B" is an impressive tractor, if "finnesed"--can do much more than you would ever believe.!! I can run a 6' Bush Hog in average to heavy Hay/ pasture in 3rd and 4th...in 7' tall Heavy Brush, I may get into 1st or 2nd.!! I would not get into stroking them...a GOOD multi-angle valve job, with back cut valves and some ( not too much ) compression and they will really "Lay Their Ears Back, and Pull"...!! I run a straight pipe...
