I have a 1935 B without a brass tag, the serial number is 11996. Does anyone know when the tag change over happened?

I would like to know if someone can tell me how you find out when the John Deere tractors where built and shipped and where they went. I would like to track some serial numbers of the John Derres I have. Thanks

sn11996, build date 10/11/35-ship date 10/17/35 to Lincoln, NE. Nothing special in register listed, but if you study a copy of the production register it seems a lot of different dates were used with sequential serial numbers an example is sn 11104 built 10/10/35 and shipped 10/11/35(maybe a salvage repair off the assembly line????). So who knows may be they needed a tag and grabbed one for a '36 and found some more to finish the '35 model year run??? It's interesting the amount of information that we have on these machines, more so than many other brands, sometimes it just leads to more questions. gwh

A brass tag doesn't mean anything anyhow,just
something to talk about, almost all JD tractors
have brass tags.

This would be a Question for Mr. Thinker at www.greenmagazineonline.com there were only 15 35's made after yours. I have had high 11000 number tractors before, and they were brass.
