SM-2029 - Electrical Equipment, SM-2000 - Tractors and Engines General Repair, SM-2024 - Carburetors for John Deere Tractors and Engines, SM-2011 - Hydraulic Equipment for Waterloo Tractors, SM-2022 - Custom Power-Trol, SM-2015 - LP Gas Equipment for John Deere Tractors, and SM-2016 - Power Steering for John Deere Tractors.

Sorry about that, guys. I forgot that we have all of the above listed manuals compiled into one binder that makes up our "Bible" for the older tractors. Anyway, I thought I would post the individual SM numbers and explanations for anyone that might be looking for particular info.

What you are looking for is contained in Service Manual 2024---"Carburetors for JD Engines"---call 800-522-7448 with credit card in hand and order a copy, this manual will tell you all you need to know about duplex carbs. That number is for Deere publications, don't bother looking anywhere else, as Deere's manuals are cheaper and better.

Jim, Deere makes a manual that covers a lot of the "accessory" equipment for JD tractors. It includes info on all the different carbs, hydraulic equipment, electrical equipment, and so on. I don't know the TM number off the top of my head, but it is an excellent book and should be available from your dealer.

Jim,I think GMAN is refering to the service manual titled, Tractors and Engines ( General) SM-2000.
The last chapter is on the DLTX-75 and DLTX-81 carbs, don't know if there is anything by JD any more detailed than that about carbs.
Like GMAN said, lots more good reading on all sorts of stuff, check it out.
