Mr. Thinker, In most of the factory pictures of the new generation tractors, the front hubs are painted yellow. I would have thought the factory would have painted the green color with front wheels off and then installed the yellow wheels. What was the way the factory painted the tractor?

Hubs were yellow from the factory on the numbered series tractors... but when I repainted them I painted the hubs green and wheels yellow.... I think they look better that way.

John , I belive the tractors were put on "shop-wheels"(steel) until after the chassis and engine were run tested then the tractor painted green, after that the "shop-wheeles" were removed and the rubber tires and yellow wheeles and hubs installed. gwh

Hey John,
I the book I have the hubs are yellow and I can't recall one I have ever seen painted green? I do see your point on the painting the hubs green with the rest of the front end though. Guess the paint scheme artist liked not haveing a two toned wheel?
