I used to plow with a WD Allis with 3x16 mounted plow all day 2nd gear at about 3.5mph. WD has 34hp and a late A has 38hp.

A 1946 A is rated at a 2-16 or 3-14 under faverable soil conditions. My A is very healthy..I have no problems pulling my 3-16 oliver plow in black soils in 3rd gear. I believe Im running around 50 h.p.
