I have a 63' 1010 Wheel Tractor Loader/Backhoe with the Wide Fixed front end. I am having problems finding parts for the hydraulic steering pistons located under the front axle. They need to be rebuilt or replaced. Any Ideas? I did place an ad in the classifieds and have been looking around the bone yards. There don't seem to be many of these around.

You didn't say that you tried JD for the parts. I have gotten cylinder overhaul kits from them for older equipment than you have. If you go with Polk, you may want to consider checking his price against the JD dealer. Sometimes JD can be noticeably more economical than aftermarket. Just my thoughts on a cold rainy morning.

I should have said that. The dealer nolonger sells the parts or rebuild kits.

I'm going to try a local hydraulic shop.

When I was looking for 1010 brake parts, Dennis Polk's people told me he has "several" sitting on his lot. You might contact him about your needs, but get your quarters out. He likes his parts a lot.
