I am looking at a nice low hour 4030 open station tractor. The tractor does not have a cab nor the 4 post roll guard with canopy. I have a 2 post roll guard and canopy off a 4020. Will the 2 post fit the 4030? I'm thinking it will look OK, any thoughts?

Terry, The two post can be made work but the sheet metal panel between the fenders has to be removed cut and altered to let the post extend through it. I have a nice factory four post off my 4030 and in very good condition. No dents and no holes drilled in fenders. If you are interested I would trade my four post even up for your complete open station if in comparable condition. Located in eastern Iowa. May be able to help with getting it to you if near any of my travels through the Winter. Email me if interested Thanks, Dave W.

Terry, how do you plan to get a 2 post rollgard through the fenders as fenders, platform and shift quadrant are all made together.I think you should try to find a 4 post rollgard and sell your 2 post rollgard. It would be more original.Plus if you decide to put 2 post on you better do some serious measuring as platform has bolts to rear axle and you may find some confict.4 post rollgard has less viibrating noises than 2 post.Jim B
