Should the inside areas of the unstyled JD radiator top, sides and bottom be finished or painted in any way in doing a restoration? How about the radiator core itself?

Thanks for the help!

Jerry I've used a white epoxy on the inside of blocks but not in the radiator top and bottom. I tell you what has worked for me in my puller I use plane water and John Deere radiator conditioner in the late fall I will drain it out and the water is just as clean (lite green) as the day I put it in there. My Ford 7.3 diesel I changed antifreeze @125,000 miles and it looked better than the new antifreeze I put in,so I highly recommend the radiator conditioner Fw-15 or John Deere version.
