Hi Abe; You didn't say if the G runs. It is actually a GM with that SN. The Rolla-Matic wasn't introduced till 1947, and the Water pump, if John Deere, wasn't factory till mid-way 1952. There are many earlier models that have had these added later. If the tractor is running, that sounds like a reasonal price. All G's came from the factory with the power fuel manifolds. Good luck to you if you buy it. They are a lot of fun to have. I've got four of them of different ages.

DP, the roll-o-matic came out in 1950 not 1947.

I have a 49G with rollomatic. The 2 piece pedestal came out in 1950, I'm pretty sure.

Brian,

The A had Roll-o-Matic at S/N 584000 (the first late styled A) and the B had it at 201000 (the first late styled B). As early as May 1947 sales brochures pointed this out.

The G may have had it before 1950 as well, but I don't know that for sure. The two-piece pedestal became an option in 1950 for the G.

I think the rollomatic was available for the "G" at the same time it was available for the "A" and "B". I think when they made the changeover from the "GM" back to the "G" it became available. Since the pedestal itself was identical, it would have been very simply to order the rollamatic assembly from Deere as wholegoods and install it on a "GM".
