Aloha,
My father is selling out. His estate is absolutely full of antiques. He lives in Florida. He's got a "mint" condition 1953 50 series, and has no idea where to find out what it's worth. He's got all sorts of implements that go with that tractor. I'm in Hawaii and the only way that I have to help him is via. internet... but, needless to say, my 82 year old father has no idea how to even turn on a computer, much less surf for his answers. Can someone help me? Mahalo (Hawaiian for Thank You) for all your help.

Kana,
I would say that the tractor might be worth$3000 depending on what options it has(just like a used car). Things to look for are live powershaft, powersteering. Also, certian modifications such as anything that is not original John Deere take away from the value depending on what they are. The condition of the paint, tires, engine, transmission are very important. So my figure is just an estimate (probably high) of what an good restored 50 JD tractor is worth. Good luck and you might want to get a picture of it and post it for sale under photo ads on this website. It's free so why not. Tyler
