My AW turns in a tight radius to the right but only about three quarters of the way to the left. Everthing appears ok on the tie rods and spindles.

JDAOS, if everything on the front axle & steering linkage will allow it to turn the same in both directions your problem probably is with the line up of the lower center steering arm on the spindle with the sector gear at the top. Depending on what spindle you have, you could be off a spline at the bottom steering arm or at the top spindle to sector gear.
~You might want to remove the tie rods from the center steering arm then turn the steering wheel all the way to the right & mark the top of the steering wheel, then turn the steering wheel all the way to the left & count the turns, then turn the wheel back to the right 1/2 the total turns counted. That is the true steering center, then look to see where the center lower steering arm is pointed. If the lower steering arm is not centered at that time, either your upper sector gear is off a spline, or [if] you have the splined lower arm, it could be off a spline.

Thanks Clooney, I`ll try your suggestion, I had both the top and bottom apart and thought I put it back correctly.
