Being young, I've tried this. I took my M, and I out pulled the neighbors G, grant it, the ole M is running about 44hp, but a B against a good M, hasn't got a chance. Watched my dad take our Super H and out-pull a A. I like both, but you have to give those ole Farmalls credit, they can run.

The JD B is a great old tractor but in this instance, it's no match for a Farmall M.

Remove the "straight pipe" from your B and park a G under it and you may have a better chance against the M.

There are some things the B won't do. The M being one of them.

If you can't figure out who would win by sizing up the two tractors, than go for it.

A JD G and Farmall M is a equal pull. Your b should be match against a C or maybe an H.

The B would probably outpull the H but believe it or not, it might have a harder time against a Super C.

A JD-60 should not be compared to a Farmall Super-M, it is the competitor of the Farmall-M, or 300-350. A John Deere- 60 is an updated version of the John Deere-A. Comparing a 60 John Deere to a Super-M Farmall is like comparing a John Deere-G to a Farmall-H. Your comparing apples to oranges instead of apples to apples. Although I think the JD-60 does better than some of you fella's give it credit for, and I've worked fields with the both of them.

You have got that correct, my step dad give me a lesson about that stuff one day, only it was his H Farmall versus my 51 B John Deere, he drug me around like I was a hay wagon, we tried it 3 times with the same result.

The M is four cylinder and B is two, so to be fair take two plug wires off the M nd see what he does then. Fair is Fair
