We have replaced all the brake pads and bled the brakes the way the JD shop manual said to do, but I don't have any brakes. The steering, pto and hydraulics all work ok. Any suggestions?????

if the brakes worked before the brake pads renewal, and if the pistons were assembled correctly with new orings and paper backup rings, maybe you removed the bleed screws.if the bleed screw is removed, thre is a steel ball behind it that may fall out. if it falls you can't plug the bleed bassage and brake pressure is lost.
by the way the brakes work on the high pressure system.

Jim C,did you replace the orings on the pistons that operate brake pads?Did you renew both sides? The brake valve operates off of the trans.pump if I remember correctly.Jim B

Yes we replaced the O rings and the paper washers for the pistons, replaced all six brake pads in both sides. I think my next step is to get the kit for the brake valves and rebuilt them.
