I sometimes have to bump the steering wheel to get the lifter arms to raise and lower. Is this a common problem and what could the cause be? Thanks in advance, TJ

sometimes the rockshft valve is stuck and the pressure drop created by bumping the steering losens it. if you have a scv try to bump it when you have the problem.if this helps, you prbably need to repair the rockshaft valve system.

I`m no expert but try this. First do the filtercleanings as the previous post suggested. Then plumb a gauge into a remote coupler and make sure you have 2250lbs. If you do then I would suspect a priority adjustment valve problem.

TJ,

Sounds like it might be starved for fluid. Check the level with the dipstick that's behind where your right foot rests. Also, have you checked the screen in the system? It's behind the filter, on the right side, under the foot rest - a long tubular affair. If it's filled with junk it can stop or lessen the flow into the back pump.
