Hi I want to say thanks to everyone who responded to my 720 questions. But now I have a couple questions about my D. One is what is the best way to remove the right fender(sitting on tractor seat the right)? I removed the crank case breather and unfastened all bolts. But still can't manage to get the fender out from under the clutch rod and over the tire. Is it hard to remove and reistall the clutch lever? Also is there anyone making replacement magneto covers for my D? It has a Splitdorf magneto and I have the original cover but it is covered in grease and has a cut in it. Does anyone make the radiator curtains for my tractor? Thanks for your answers and I'm bound to have more questions for all of you. Thanks. Matt

Matt, as you have found those fenders don't come off as easy as they look to.
~There are a few ways to tackle that fender removal; start by removing the inner dust shield [foot plate], then remove the clutch rod from the hand lever to the fork shaft [pull the clevis pins out "if you can"], then lift the front flat sheetmetal over the throttle tube & see if you can work the fender out. If you can get the bolts out it also helps to pull the fender to case mounting bracket completely out. The other way, & way I usually do it is to pull the wheel out on the axle splines about as far as you can, then tilt the fender out & away from the tractor then up & out.
~Try Bill Lopoulos [978-649-7879] for the cap. Those Edison Splitdorf caps are hard to find & very expensive when you do..
~For the Radiator curtains try Charles Krekow [712-376-5135] he does a pretty good job.

Thanks for your answers. But I think you misunderstood my question about the magneto cover. I was talking about the canvas dust cover that slips over the magneto to keep water and dust off. Do you know where I can get these? Thanks again. Matt
