I bought a G from Patrick Mosset and was disappointed in the condition it was in when received. He seems to have a way of glossing over the important shortcomings and focusing on the parts you seem interested in. You will notice his pictures always show the good part and never the rust bent parts or cracks. I guess it all boils down to buyer beware. It seems most of the places that sell tractors over the internet are about akin to car salesmen. Would you buy a used car from a used car salesman over the internet?

I bought a John Deere R from Patrick. His ad stated that both motors run very well. The only thing wrong is a couple of lights are broken. Tires are good. I called and asked if any thing was broken, cracked or welded, his reply was no. The front axle and wheel was broken and welded. I asked about the metal, his reply was that it was very good. He also stated this tractor was a 9 on a scale of 1 to 10. (I would rate it a 4 or 5). The fenders were rusted thru. The tractor had to be eithered in 85 degree weather, when I tore the motor down the pistons rings were stuck. When I told him I was dissatified with the tractor he e-mailed me a nice letter which stated he had a good track record selling tractors and tough luck. My opinon is if he was honest he would try to make things right. You can see pictures of the tractor by clicking on the link. The pictures with snow on the tractor are the ones Patrick sent to me. The others are ones I took after receiving the tractor. You are welcome to e-mail me and I can send you the e-mails Patrick and I exchanged.

John, Patrick Mossett is an honest man to deal with. I bought 2 tractors from him last January and everything worked out fine. There are a few things you should understand before you make the purchase. First, Don't ASSUME the tractor is anymore then he has represented. Call him personally and ask ALL questions you have about the tractor you want to buy. He will be happy to convey all information he has on the tractor. Second, be prepared to wire FULL PAYMENT including shipping to him. This is the way most Canadian sellers do business. He will send you a receipt confirming purchase with serial number. Third, be patient for delivery. It may take several weeks before your tractor is loaded for delivery. This is because the seller will wait until he has a full load (4-5 tractors) going to the same area of the States before he contacts the trucking company. This is to keep the shipping cost to you low. The total load cost will be shared by all who have tractors on that load. Fourth, be prepared. You must have a suitable area in which to receive your tractor. Most trucks require easy access and a dock to unload. Don't expect to have your tractor delivered to your home unless you are equipt. Most tractor dealers will allow you to have your tractor delivered to their facility for a small fee. This may be your best bet. Fifth, be flexible. When you get the email or call that your tractor is on the way, you must be able to meet the truck at your specific delivery destination for unloading. Times may vary as to weather, traffic, etc, so be prepared to take a day off work. I am very satisfied with the tractors I received from Mr. Mossett. They were as he represented and more. I hope others who have purchased from him will post so you can make an informed decision.
