Robert, run the fuel flow test John talked about, if you have fuel flow to & through the carb, & the choke is actually working, set the load needle to 1 turn out from seated & the idle needle to 2 turns out from seated & see what happens. If still no fuel in the engine, suspect a carb idle passage blockage [common even on cleaned carbs] or the main nozzle is plugged. ~If the carb if functioning properly suspect low compression or leaky valves. Run a cold compression test to see what you have..... .

Robert, sorry gotta be quick cuz were getting ready to go and the "Old Lady" my first wife I refer to her as, is yellin at me lol. First, If you open the carbs bowl drain cock wide open and have the gas turned on full, is there a good pencil lead sized stream of gas flowign continually???? If not, look at the sediment bowl assembly and see if any restrictions and remove the fuel line at the carb and see if you get a good steady flow of gas out the tank and sed bowl through the line at least. Im tryign to determine if its a carb or fuel restriction upstream.

Next, if the carb drain cock test shows good fuel flow, do you have any idea where the carb bowls float level is set??? Also, do you have the carbs top power jet screwed at least 1 turn out????

How does it run once started???

Other problems can be a choke butterfly plate that isnt closing even though you think you turn it full closed.

Sorry, I gotta run, the Clooney man or any of the several other good ol boys will have yu runnign by teh time I return. Good Luck, Ol John T Nordhoff
