How expensive is it to get a tach repaired for a 2cyl deere? Does someone exchange them or do you have to send them? Who does work on them? I don't see anyone in two cylinder or green. Just wondering.

Farmerbill, that subject was just addressed a few days ago. [see link below].
~Depending on the tractor you are working on, Deere still has some tac's available & the cost will probably be cheaper than a repair.
~If the dial & hour numbers are still in good condition & all that's wrong is it quit working you can probably repair it yourself. I have done quite a few of those 2-cylinder tacs & usually what I find is the magnetic driven disk is broken loose from the stem & must be re-soldered.

Question Mr. Clooney! How do you get the bezel and glass off, then back on in a neat looking way after tach is repaired?

Larry, I use a little screwdriver & small offset [bent end] screwdriver & carefully work the rolled rear edge of the bezel up until it will come off the body. To re-assemble, I place the tac face down on a thick newspaper spread out on my marble lay-out block & hammer it down slowly working all the way around using a hardwood dowel that is ground smooth on one end...
