I just picked up a 39 A JD from Minnisota and it is straight and runs. This is my first JD and I am looking for parts like compression release valves and steering wheel, seat, that sort of thing. I found a steering wheel and that is all .Where can I get other parts?

Compression release valves, or petcocks as they are better known, are still available from Deere. $22.00 each. Other stuff is available from Deere too. Try the Dealer.

Don't know what part of Colorado your are from, i was at the local john deere dealership yesterday, there is a guy there, Gary is his name, they say he is the 2 cyclinder man for getting parts and he did tell me that he can get both original and non original seats as my 37 A needs a seat also. the name of the dealership is, Longs Peak Equipment Corp. I am in Longmont and they are east of longmont at highway 66 and I25. phone: 970-535-4474, ask for Gary in the parts department.
