20.8's on a 4010? Too much tire?

My 4010 had 16.9 x 38 duals on it when I bought it, and I would really like a good used set of 18.4s, but the 20.8's seem to be easier to find. Would this be too much tire for the 4010? Do I need to stick with the 18.4's?

Just put 18.4-38's on the 4010. These tires are common and affordable. It will give you lots of tire for the 4010 without over doing it. You will need to raise the fenders all the way up to allow enough tire clearance. This is what I did to my 4010 replacing the 15.5-38's a few years ago and it has worked excellent!!

Yes, 18.4x38's are big on a 4010, I've got 18.4x34's on mine and that seems to work fine. The height difference changes your speed, and 20.8x38's are going to be big on a 4010, plus if your 30" row 20.8's dont rowcrop that nice.

Too much tire? What size rim do you have? If it'll take a 20.8 it should work fine, unless you're using a 14 inch plow behind the tractor. 18 inch plow bottom is a good match for a 20.8 tire. 16.9 is a bit light for a 4010.

I think that a 20.8 if your 4010 is stock might be a little much.
