I have an old stationary baler. I can't find any old hand tie baling wire to use. Can anyone help.

If you can't find some wire as Ken suggested, you might want to get a roll of the wire that is used for tieing re-bar and reinforcing mesh in the concrete business. I'm not sure what gauge it is, but it sure makes a good substitute for baling wire on projects around the garage, shop and yard. I got mine at my friendly Ace Hardware store.

George, Most likely what you will have to do, is make your own. If you can get a roll of wire, from the later wired tie balers, get one. All you need to do is to cut it into 10 foot lengths, with a loop tied at one end. What kind of hay press do you have?

Happy Tractoring, Ken
