I have a John Deere Pedal Tractor that I have owned since childhood. My father says he bought it in 1959 or so. I am trying to restore it, but I am missing the seat. Does anyone have any idea where I might look to find one. I remember as a kid it was sort of square and made out of cast iron.

Thank you for any help or advise.

Thank you for the information on Samuelson Pedal Tractor Parts. The tractor I have, has the number 10 on both sides. It also shows the name John Deere up on the front on both sides. Yellow emblem or paint around the name in green. I would like to get this thing put back together in order to take pictures with my new twin niece and nephew.

OK, what you have is one of the first "New Generation" pedal tractors, representing the 3010/4010 series of the real thing. Yours may have either three or four holes in the engine compartment, but I think the seat will be the same.

You just need to tell Samuelson that you have a John Deere 10 Pedal Tractor and he'll know which seat to send you.

I'll send you an e-mail with an attached picture of your tractor. It will show both the 3 hole version and the 4 hole version.

Good luck,

Stan
