kd The main weak point in the 1155 is the stub axles in the rear end. To check them drop the rear hyd oil filter, if metal flakes are present they are bad. One can cheat the system by pulling both rearends and swapping them from side to side. This is a one time good deal. By doing this, what gear surface you used going forward before swapping is now only used going in reverce. Why do they go bad IMHO to much HP for the rear end. This is the only weak point of this excellent tractor series that I can say I had trouble with. Cabs are solid and easy to get in and out of. Good Luck

1155 is basically the same tractor as the 1105 and 1135 except the engine. I have a 1135 and I am well pleased. However some people do not like the V-8 engine that is in the 1155 but I personally have no experience with them. As for the price it could vary very much, total hrs., type and cond. of tires, cab or not, just general over all cond. Price could go from 4500.00 to 15,000.00.

the 1155,s are a good tractor, and really sound, your not gonna find anythig that will pull a good sized disk, or V blades like that Perkin,s V8, It just goes on and on,like it was nothing,
I have an 1155,and really like it alot real easy to run too,
not like the quadrange John deere,s,where ive run them and it,s cunfusing to find the right gear to run in the field,or so I thought,
