MF35 Distributor parts?

One of the pieces in the centrifugal advance portion of my MF35 Delco Remy distributor needs replacing. I hate to replace the entire distributor just because a small part is needed. I've looked on the Delco Remy site but can't seem to find any useful info.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a source for these kinds of parts?

Thanks. /Bill

Bill, I am fabricating a governor compensating lever
for my MF gas from a piece of sheet steel.
If it is the advance weight which has worn in
your delco-remy you could duplicate it on
a piece of sheet steel using some cutting/drilling/grinding technicques.
Is it the advance weight you are in need of? ?Jim...

Jim,

The part I need is the top plate ... the piece directly under the hold down nuts and above the counter weights. The darn thing appears to have broken at the bolt hole some time in the past and eventually twisted off. It was driving the distributor nuts when it got caught in the weights. I got my first clue something was wrong when the distributor started trying to jump out of its hole. I removed and disassembled it and nothing appears badly damaged except I'll need to replace the springs and, of course, the top plate.

The top plate would be quite difficult to duplicate!

On a different note, however, check out
the link below with nice info on TO-30,
and the TO-35.

Not my site, but one I like to visit...Well put
together web page!
