After raking with my pony in the hay field all day. I've decided that I need a seat cusion to fit that hard metal seat. Anyone know where to get a red one all I can find are brown or blue. My wife says I'm color blind but even I know these will not match.

I take it that Mike is from SanFransico. This site is for tractor nuts. You need to look for dates somewhere else.

Are you sure your not missing the spring. There should be a 1/4in thick spring under that
seat. It's a taper type about 7in wide and 5in
high. I have a bar that goes from fender to fender
near the dash. I work with my feet up on the bar
so the spring carries all my weight. A real
cushony ride too. Don't feel any bumps.

I bought a surplus black seat at Northern for $7 for some type riding lawn mower. Took the metal seat with me and looked until I found a good fit.

OK Alan, i've got to ask what kind of hay rake you were pulling with a pony? i saw red and white and blaze orange seat covers but no solid red at CT tractor.

rhudson, I pull dad's New Holland 8ft rake. I know it sounds hard to believe but in 1st & 2cnd it pulls a rake quite well. We use it to fetch empty wagons and move full ones ON LEVEL GROUND. My spring is in good shape but it isn't no soft ride. Bounced so hard yesterday I broke my pocket watch!!!!! !!
