Actually, I'm trying to find out whether or not the starters on these two Masseys are the same, or at least interchangeable. Do both of them use the big, heavy-duty push start button on the dash, or does one of them have the remote mechanical rod that pushes the button contact that is on top of the starter? Could a starter from a Senior be used on the Super? I know that they use different engines, but I think the clutch housing and flywheel might be the same. Any model numbers of the Auto Lite starters would also be appreciated. Thanks for you help.

The 101 Super with Chrysler engine has the remote mechanical rod that pushes the starter mounted button. the starter is an Auto-Lite and the number on the tag is maw-4013-a 6-s003582. I believe the starters on all these early Chrysler engines are the same. Continental engines probably have different starters. Hope this helps.
