Let me ask do the wet sleeve blocks need the heads torqued in a steped procedure and is there anything critical to make sure of. The reason i ask is i find typical cracks in these blocks scroungin at part yards.

The cracks could be the result of incorrect sequencing, but that would be a head
crack. A crack in the block in these parts
usually means someone forgot to change the water
for ant-freeze.

On the 162cu torque bolts evenly and in sequence until final warmup gives you 70-75 lbs. There are 15 bolts. If your looking
at the head from the top with the exhaust and pump
on the right, #1 bolt is north and just beside
distributer shaft, #2 is just south and #3 is north of #1. So basically you alternate from each side
always starting from the center bolt and doing
the bolts north and south of that.

Not sure what sleeves your talking about. The
cylinders are cast with the block.
