Did any of the MF35 (1960-63) models come with a toolbox, or as an accessory? I don't think I've ever seen one, but I bought one at a salvage yard, painted it glosssy black and will bolt it on to the right fender.

Brian: My 1963 MF35 doesn't have a tool box, but I recently saw an identical tractor at a show, and it had one on the left fender. It was strange because it was a box bolted to the tire side of the fender with a long, wide slot rounded at the ends, cut into the fender itself. The owner said it was factory original.

The original tool box for the MF35 was the tool storage compartment built into the left fender as you mention. The first 35's had a 1-1/16"x11/16" wrench that was stored in the box. This was carried over from the Ferguson 30 models. If the 35 had power spread rear wheels, the tools needed to spread the wheels were stored in the fender tool box also. All these tools where original equipment that came with the tractor. Ralph

About a year ago I saw the original tools for the power spread rear wheels sold at a farm auction for $50.00. The wrench, 1-1/16" x 11/16", was numbered 1 to 10. The purpose of the numbers were to measure the fuel in the tank on the 30's. This was before fuel gauges were installed. At that same auction, there were a couple of these wrenches in a junk box that I bought for $10.00. A friend of mine was restoing his father's 30 and had been trying to find one. The last time I saw him, he was having the wrenches plated. If you go to a farm auction, check the junk boxes that are usually sold. You might find these tools. Ralph
