I just bought my first tractor..... A Massey ferfuson 165.... 1966 front loader, bush hog.....I wanted to copy down the serial number so I crawled all over it while my wife wrote down the numbers I found.....My question is.....which one of the many numbers I found is the serial number? The Back, left, right? The LARGE numbers or the smaller numbers? I had no idea there would be so many..... and they're all different.....Thx Bill from Texas...

The main tractor serial# is located on the lower instrument panel just above the trans case. You have an eng. serial# that is stamped into the upper block area and should have the #s AD4203 in it. You have a trans serial# which is located on the right front near the safety switch. You have a rear axle serial# which is located on the right side of the rear center housing, standig behind the tractor. All of the serial#s are stamped into the castings. All of the raised #s are casting #s.
