I am having problems with the 3 pt Hydraulic system on my MF 1155. I have read several posts on here that talk about the control valve being stuck and I think this is my problem also. I would like to know where the hydraulic filter is located on this tractor. Also one of the other suggestions on this message board was to drain the hydraulic fluid and refill with diesel then run the hydraulic system to clean it out. Is this safe, does the diesel provide enough lubrication so as not to harm the hydraulic pumps.

Thanks for any info.

Don,t thy the diesel because a couple gallons of fluid will always stay in there. If it like a1150 the filter is behind the grill, there is also a screen with a magnet in it under the plate in the bottom of the center housing.

The control valve was stuck on my 1105.I drained the fluid and filled it full of whale oil.It worked.I got the idea and the oil from an old MF mechanic that has since retired.

TRy Link tech tips / Massey tech tips - they have one of the best descriptions of MF hydraulics I have seen. I would be wary of flushing with diesel as you may stir up more crap into the system.
