I have a 101jr And a 44-6, both with stuck motors from sitting unused for years. Can anyone help with information on how to go about freeing them up? If I need parts, where can they be found? (Engine and Tinwork) Thanks

The 4 cyl. is a continental. I just hauled in a 101 jr. Heres how I unstuck the motor: 1. took out the spark plugs. 2. poured about a cup of marvel mystery oil in the plug holes 3. put the plugs back in. 4 let it sit for a couple of days. 5 take the plugs back out. 6 put a huge , huge pan under the motor to catch spills. 6 take hold of the shaft directly behind the back of the motor with a pipe wrench with the transmission in neutral, working one way, then reversing the wrench and working the other way, then back and forth like that. Dont push your hardest...you dont want to put undue pressure on anything, to be sure. If you get a little movement, you can then put a little diesel in the plug holes and go with that till the motor turns even freer. You will need to look down the plug holes to see that all the valves are opening and closing....they are notorious for sticking open after long periods of sitting. If your motor is still tight and wont move, pur diesel down the plug holes and walk away from the tractor for a week or two, maybe a month, then come back. If you then cant get it to move, you'll just have to take the motor apart, and redo.
