dose anyone know how far a 226 ci cont engine can be bored past the standard .060 over?

Mark, I was told once that the cont 244 was the same block. Don't know for certain but Massey used a 244 gas in their I-244 tractor and the 102 distillate was a 244 cu in with the same stroke as the 226 (4 3/8) and 1/8 inch more bore. (3 5/16 vs 3 7/16) With only word of mouth and similar #'s to base it on looks like you have some room in there. Hope this helps & don't take my word on it - ALAN
