I have a 1950 22 and am wondering what the extra linkages on the throttle are for, you have to pull the lever up to get it to run faster will this harm the engine running this fast? because when you run it wide open it goes fast and go over the knob it really screams

Bill The extra notches on the throttle are for belt work, such as a hammer mill or buzz saw. they are not intended for field work or road travel. I think that this correct. Sam
